Paul Donnelly joins Project Resource Manchester!

I am delighted to confirm the appointment of Paul Donnelly to the Project Resource Manchester team as we continue our expansion.

Paul has joined us with the remit of building upon the foundations we have established within the permanent commercial market in the North of England. We have historically supplied various market leading consultancies, contractors and client side organisations with Quantity Surveyors, Cost Engineers, Estimators and Commercial Managers & Directors across various sectors and Paul will continue to develop this market for us.

Paul has a degree in law and a background in corporate sales and corporate account management for a world renowned blue chip business, and will bring a consultative, professional and honest approach to the role which obviously holds a great degree of synergy with Project Resource as a business and the way in which we operate.

Project Resource Manchester office finally opens!

Good Afternoon all!

Well I am delighted to be writing this from a sunny Manchester – I have been told not to get too accustomed to this as it apparently doesn’t happen often!

After 3 months back in the UK, based out of Solihull whilst getting the many components of a successful new office opening in place, on Monday we got our Manchester office open for business. This fittingly fell on 4^th July, Independence Day.

Arriving at 7:45 on Monday morning we initialy encountered a number of frustrating technical problems, fortunately the building staff were on hand to assist us and by lunchtime we were well and truly up and running.

So far from speaking to job seekers and employers in the area, the response to this regional North West office being opened has been very positive. The people we are speaking to appreciate the investment in bringing to them a more local service, and having supplied the North West since 2002 our employers and job seekers are pleased to see us have perhaps an overdue physical presence in the region. Even in the 2 days we have had here, employers and job seekers alike have requested meetings with Karl Mehta (Commercial) and myself (Planning) and it looks as though despite the endeavours in getting the office established we are going to be spending a significant amount of time out of it! This was of course the objective of being based here, and we are encouraged by the positive response we have had so far as a result of our increased accessibility to employers and job seekers.

Project Resource North West appoints a new team member!

Hi all,

As anyone following this blog will know we are due to open our Manchester office imminently, and amongst all the practicalities of getting this up and running we are also dedicating a huge amount of time and resources to ensure we can attract the right people to come and work for us in this location, as we look to build a team that can grow and develop over the coming years.

On this note I am delighted to announce the appointment of Karl Mehta as a Senior Consultant, he will join the business on July 4^th.

I have known Karl both personally and professionally for over 5 years now, and have first hand experience of his recruitment expertise having worked with him during my initial stint at Project Resource. He was previously with the business for over 4 years (October 2005-Jan 2010) and similarly to myself has decided to return to be part of this exciting new venture.

Karl has a solid background in recruiting technical roles, with the majority of his experience being in the appointment of Quantity Surveyors, Estimators and Cost Engineers. As such he will head up the Commercial market for us, whilst I continue to focus on Project Planning and Project Controls.

I massively enjoyed working alongside Karl before, he was one of the top performers in the company and was also popular amongst his colleagues for his professionalism, team ethics and work rate. As such I am extremely pleased that we were able to attract Karl to come back to the business, and he will play a key role moving forward as we develop a team to work with him.
